Terace Garnier

Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, Terace Garnier traveled with her father, a U.S. Marine, across the country. This led to a life of travel and extraordinary experiences.  After temporarily pursuing an undergrad in Art History, Terace decided to explore her curiosity for storytelling by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force as an AFN reporter, anchor, and radio show host. During her time in Japan, she fearlessly covered a wide range of stories impacting military communities throughout Asia and Europe.
As a civilian, Terace earned her Master's Degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University before embarking on more globe-trotting adventures as one of the youngest network journalists for the Fox News Channel.  Some of her work includes ground coverage of the historic fires in Australia; the Afghanistan drawdown, live from the Pentagon; the Trump impeachment trial, live from Capitol Hill; and the Black Wall Street Massacre Centennial.  This U.S. Air Force veteran’s journey took an unexpected turn when she found herself living out of her car while tirelessly pursuing a career as a network news correspondent in 2019.  She faced this colossal challenge head-on, showing the world what resilience and determination really mean – refusing to be defined by her circumstances. This determination led her to purchase her first home and become Newsy’s (Scripps News) first Pentagon correspondent. Just when you thought her plate was full, she took on anchoring the esteemed Roland Martin Show, became a mentor to high school students, sharing her vast broadcast knowledge and inspiring the next generation of journalists, and pursued a life of pageantry and modeling. This led to raising money for pageant scholarships, mentoring sexual assault survivors, and building a vast new network of empowered women. In 2022, she independently curated a virtual portrait gallery and auction with CBS anchor, Vladimir Duthiers. She raised thousands for homeless women veterans and their children which provided over 144 days of housing! You can still find some of her original works of art from the portrait gallery online. Her work not only helps raise awareness about homelessness among veterans but promotes the importance of work-life balance and setting boundaries to maintain one’s mental health. So, let's talk about her current project – "No Longer Silent," an upcoming book that tackles the heavy topic of sexual assault. Terace's compassion, empathy, and vulnerability are on full display here, as she aims to educate and support survivors while raising awareness among the wider public. This woman is a powerhouse of dedication and determination, making the world a better place one step at a time. Terace Garnier is a force of nature with a heart of gold. Her incredible journey serves as a powerful inspiration, proving that one person truly can make a difference.
